MEDA is a nonprofit organization
Dedicated to the Prevention & Treatment of Eating Disorders.
We provide clinical services for individuals and families, educational programs for the community and training for professionals.
We offer a variety of clinical and therapeutic services to support individuals and loved ones through the various stages of their journeys. We provide education about eating disorders and their underlying causes to develop a compassionate community that promotes hopefulness and supports healing.
The MEDA office will be closed on 7/4/24 in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
Join us this month for our Hope & Inspiration event with Franki Toro on July 20th.
We hope to see you there!
Please note: We kindly request that everyone registers, whether you are attending virtually or in person.

Monte Nido recently launched a national awareness campaign called “Hidden,” dedicated to acknowledging the silent struggles endured by millions hiding their eating disorders. The campaign video features common behaviors exhibited by those silently grappling with eating disorders, fostering a sense of visibility and empowerment to seek support they need.
The journey toward healing is not one that individuals should navigate alone. Together, we can strive to create a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported, breaking down barriers and paving the way for greater access to life-saving care.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. PTSD and eating disorders can occur together, and some individuals develop EDs as a way to cope with trauma.
It’s important that we recognize and validate everyone’s unique experiences to better support them.

It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of life, which is why it can be grounding to take breaks and slow down the pace from time to time.
Consider setting boundaries around where your energy goes to care for your well-being.

Happening next Saturday! Join us for a gentle, restorative, 60-minute yoga practice to come together as a community to celebrate MEDA. This class will be inclusive and welcoming for all bodies and abilities. Poses can be practiced from the floor or a chair. Down Under faculty member Shawna Lemelman will bring her creativity and lighthearted spirit to offer a relaxing, mind-body experience.
This event is one of a series of events in honor of MEDA’s 30th. We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of support that has led to many achievements over the past 30 years, and we look forward to continuing to provide affirming, compassionate care, programs, and services to our community.
